If you are interested in joining a class, please print out the registration form for the class you want to join, fill it out and either bring it to the gallery or mail it to 222 W. Pine Street Lodi, CA, with a check enclosed for at least 50% of the full amount for the class. 100% payment must be collected 14 days prior to the first day of class. Classes are first come, first served, with a maximum of 12 students per class. Your payment, either a 50% deposit or full amount, reserves your spot.

April 12, 13, 14, 2019: Three Day Workshop – Watercolor Portrait Beginnings with Jeannie Vodden
Painting Watercolor Portraits is one of the most challenging and rewarding subjects you can tackle. Using a limited palette of staining transparent color Jeannie will teach you her unique techniques while she guides you in learning to paint eyes, hair, skin and clothing. Practice in small studies and/or paint a full portrait. Each student’s skill level will be different. Take your time, try your hand and enjoy the process. Class will include daily demonstrations and one-on-one interaction with class members as well as plenty of painting time, and friendly critiques. This class is designed for all levels of painters. In this workshop, we will break apart reality to its basic elements, and then design a prospective idea to begin painting in abstract. Bring a sketch you used to create a painting or a picture of “anything”, yes, anything at all. Let’s destroy all sense of reality and simply have fun in the process. Participants in this workshop will learn how to handle a brush for lettering, and develop the skills to render the three basic lettering styles – sans serif, roman and script. Come and create wonderful steampunk or fantasy images. Class will be full of information and inspirations. The workshop will include watercolor demonstration and plenty of painting time. This class is designed for all levels of painters. Students may bring their own photo references. Jeannie will bring additional photo references for you to use. Postponed Date TBD: Two Day Workshop – Seascapes & Ocean Waves in Watercolor with Tony Segale
How invigorating a trip is down by the seashore. We all would like to live there for a while if it wasn’t so expensive. Let’s capture the rolling waves, crashing surf and coastal dwellings to live on cold press paper. Bring a couple of your own sketches or photographs to create original art, Tony may have a few of his own to share. Each day we will plan our subject with a focus on design. Tony will demo, and you will have time to paint, with time for individual guidance. Watercolor Paint out
Tony hosts a watercolor class every Thursday in the Double Dip Gallery. This weekly gathering is a joint discovery for all levels, with returning participants each week getting to know each other and walking down the trail of creative adventure together. Tony will demonstrate, answer individual questions, provide direction and paint along with the group. Refund & Cancellation Policy:
Any payments made by credit or debit cards are subject to a $15 fee in the case a refund is requested at any time. Checks will not be deposited until 14 days before the first day of the workshop. If a refund is requested prior to 14 days before the workshop and payment was made with a check, the check will be returned to you.
If cancellation is less than 14 days, another participant can attend, purchasing your spot, if there is a waiting list, unless another agreement is made with the instructor. Our instructor’s time is important to us and it is our goal to fill every class – last minute cancellations are a burden to both the instructor left with empty seats and the students who could have filled those seats with more notice. If Instructor has to cancel at any time, all monies will be refunded.
